Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is a 2013 historical action-adventure open world video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It was released worldwide for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 29, 2013; for the Wii U on October 29, 2013 in North America, on November 21, 2013 in Australia, on November 22, 2013 in Europe, and on November 28, 2013 in Japan; for the PlayStation 4 on November 15, 2013 in North America, on November 22, 2013 in Europe, and on November 29, 2013 in Australia; for Microsoft Windows on November 19, 2013 in North America, on November 21, 2013 in Australia, and on November 22, 2013 in Europe; and for the Xbox One on November 22, 2013.












Batman: Arkham Origins is a 2013 action-adventure video game developed by Warner Bros. Games Montréal and released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for Microsoft Windows and the PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 video game consoles. Based on the DC Comics superhero Batman, it follows the 2011 video game Batman: Arkham City and is the third installment in the Batman: Arkham series. It was released worldwide on October 25, 2013.









The game is set in a third-person perspective so the protagonist and the objects around him are visible. As well, there is voice integration with Xbox 360's Kinect peripheral, which allow players to say things to distract enemies and then attack. The player can also use the Kinect sensor to control the protagonist with their body instead of the Xbox 360 controller.
In the Wii U version, the Gamepad controller's touchscreen acts as an interface to access gadgets and other features from the protagonist's arm-mounted computer, or OPSAT. It also incorporates the screen and motion controls to highlight enemies through thermal vision when using the Killing in Motion mechanic.










Dead Island: Riptide is an action role-playing survival horror video game developed by Techland and published by Koch Media's game label Deep Silver, released in April 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The game is a sequel to 2011's Dead Island, with a plot continuation as the five survivors arrive on another island in the Banoi archipelago, which has also been overrun by zombies. Deep Silver attracted strong criticism for marketing the game with a statuette of a mutilated female torso.













Tomb Raider uses an interconnected hub-and-spoke model that combines action-adventure, platforming, exploration, and survival mechanics. The game is presented in third-person perspective, and the player takes control of the lead character, Lara Croft. Karl Stewart said that the game's campaign will last between 12 and 15 hours. Along with the main story, players will have the chance to do multiple side quests, explore the island, revisit places, and search for challenge tombs.











Crysis 3 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Crytek, published by Electronic Arts for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 and released in North America on February 19, 2013. Officially announced April 14, 2012, it is the third main installment of the Crysis series, a sequel to the 2011 video game Crysis 2, and runs on the CryEngine 3.5 game engine. It was one of the most anticipated upcoming games of 2013. Crysis 3 has won PC Gamer Most Valuable Game, Game Informer Best of Show and Electric Playground Best of E3 awards.











The Amazing Spider-Man is a third-person open world action/adventure video game, a tie-in to the film of the same name featuring the Marvel Comics superhero, Spider-Man. It was developed by Beenox, developer of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time, and published by Activision. It was released June 26, 2012 in North America and June 29, 2012 in Europe, on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, Mobile, iOS, Android, and PC. On October 13, 2012, it was confirmed that it will be coming to Wii U, in Spring 2013, this version was released March 5, 2013 in North America and March 8, 2012 in Europe as The Amazing Spider-Man: Ultimate Edition in both continents. The game was directed by Gerard Lehiany and written by Seamus Kevin Fahey, of Battlestar Galactica fame, Benjamin Schirtz and Gérard Lehiany. The game serves as an epilogue to The Amazing Spider-Man film.











Far Cry 3 is an open world first-person shooter, which also features role-playing game elements including experience points, skill trees, and a crafting system. The player has the ability to take cover behind objects to break enemies lines of sight and also to peek around and over cover and blindfire. The player will also have the ability to perform silent "takedowns" by performing melee attacks from above, below, or close behind. The game's narrative director, Jason Vandenberghe, said that the story mode map will be around ten times larger than in the game's previous installments, indicating that it is still an open world sandbox game. Players will be given the ability to survey and plan out their attacks with stealth takedown combinations and also tag enemies with your camera in order to track their movement once they break the player's line of sight.










Max Payne 3 is a third-person shooter video game developed by Rockstar Studios and published by Rockstar Games. It is the third title in the Max Payne franchise and was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in May 2012 and for Microsoft Windows in June. Development is led by Rockstar Vancouver in collaboration with the New England, London and Toronto studios.
This is the first game in the series that was not developed by Finnish game developer Remedy Entertainment and not written by series creator Sam Lake. The lead writer of Max Payne 3 was Dan Houser, who was also the writer of Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV and Bully.











Prototype 2 is an open world action-adventure video game, released for consoles on April 24, 2012. Developed by Canadian studio Radical Entertainment and published by Activision, it is the sequel to 2009's Prototype. The game was announced at the 2010 Spike VGA Awards with the tagline "Murder your Maker.
The game features a new protagonist, James Heller, as he goes on a quest to destroy the Blacklight virus. The story is also one of revenge, as Heller wants to kill Alex Mercer, protagonist of the original Prototype, after his family was killed in the outbreak of the Blacklight virus. While the game was a top seller for a period of time, its sales would eventually result in the demise of its developer.











Crysis 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Crytek, published by Electronic Arts and released in North America, Australia and Europe in March 2011 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Officially announced on June 1, 2009, the game is the second main installment of the Crysis series, and is the sequel to the 2007 video game Crysis, and its expansion Crysis Warhead. The story was written by author Richard Morgan. Another science fiction author, Peter Watts, was also consulted and wrote a novel adaptation of the game. It was the first game to showcase the CryEngine 3 game engine and the first to be released on consoles. A sequel, Crysis 3, is currently in production.











Assassin's Creed III is a historical action-adventure open world stealth video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Microsoft Windows. It is the fifth major installment and the third numbered title in the Assassin's Creed series, and a direct sequel to 2011's Assassin's Creed: Revelations. The game was released worldwide for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, beginning in North America on October 30, 2012. It was released on November 18, 2012 for the Wii U, and on November 20, 2012 for Microsoft Windows.
The main portion of Assassin's Creed III is set before, during and after the American Revolution from 1753 to 1783, featuring a new half English and half Mohawk protagonist; Ratonhnhaké:ton ( /ˈrəduːnˈhəɡeɪduːn/; "Ra-doon-ha-gay-doon"), also known by the adopted name of "Connor". In addition to the historical period, the game also features the "present day" setting, where series protagonist Desmond Miles must adventure to prevent the 2012 apocalypse, as his story develops and reaches a conclusion. The game features a new engine, Anvil Next, built from the ground up, the engine is said to utilize full capability of current generation systems to deliver a "next-gen Assassin's Creed experience.










Hitman: Absolution is an action-adventure stealth game developed by IO Interactive and published by Square Enix. It is the fifth entry in the Hitman game series, and will run on IO Interactive's proprietary Glacier 2 game engine. The developers have confirmed that Absolution will be easier to play and more accessible, but will retain hardcore aspects. The game was released on November 20, 2012, which is the 47th week of the year (in reference to the protagonist, Agent 47).
